Lavender essential oil has been used in folk medicine for centuries to help relieve and prevent skin and coat problems and is also an effective insect repellent.
Most dog shampoos contain harsh cleansers with artificial fragrances and wheat germ oil for shine.  Dogs have more sensitive skin than humans and should therefore use milder shampoos with no alcohol or artificial fragrances which may irritate their delicate skin and coat.  We do not use wheat germ oil for shine as it attracts all the dust and dirt on the dog and some dogs have even been known to be allergic to wheat!
Instead we use a silicone base for shine just like we do for our expensive women’s shampoos which is non oily and leaves the dirt and dust just fall off the coat.
This keeps the skin cleaner and less problematic.
We created this shampoo with a high percentage of Lavender essential oil to treat the skin
and coat for maximum effect. Lavender is also know as an insect repellent.
Most people buy our shampoo and hand it to their dog groomers to make sure the dog is not exposed to harsh chemical cleansers.
