The use of injectables for the face went up 456% since 2019 and no one is addressing the care of the skin after Botox or injectables. The answer is simple, if you can, use Hyaluronic acid serums or creams. Be mindful to have at least 2 types of hyaluronic acid. One should be for the surface and the other for deeper treatment. The two best are for the upper layer, Hydrolized hyaluronic acid and for deeper treatment, Sodium hyaluronate. A good quality hyaluronic acid serum should be used for at least 2 to 5 days after treatment. This ensures that your skin stays hydrated and plump producing better looking skin.
The other option after injectables is using a quality face oil. Organic or wildcrafted seed oils penetrate better. Non comedogenic oils keep the skin clean and plump. Avoid face oils or creams that contain dimethicone (silicones) as they tend to attract or keep in dirt.
Avoid face oils which contain safflower, sunflower, olive or other oils not considered as beneficial for the skin on the face and neck area. The other advantage of using a powerful natural face oil is that you can go several days without washing your skin. Yes, shocking but true, use for 2 to 5 days. Just re-apply the oil several times a day. This will ensure that your skin stays importantly hydrated, plump and clean to achieve the best results. It is not recommended to deeply wash or scrub your face after injectables.
With the exploding popularity of injectables it’s about time we get educated on the after-care!
